Thakur Files Breach of Privilege Notice Against Rahul Gandhi
Anurag Thakur, a member of the ruling party, wrote a formal complaint to the Speaker of India's lower house.
He said Rahul Gandhi, the opposition leader, used rude words like "idiot" and "andhbhakt" during a debate.
Thakur also said Gandhi made serious accusations against Home Minister Amit Shah without giving him a chance to respond.
The complaint asks the Speaker to investigate, remove the words from the official record, and force Rahul Gandhi to apologize.
The Speaker will decide what to do next.
Anurag Singh Thakur filed a breach of privilege notice against Rahul Gandhi.
The notice cites Gandhi’s use of the words "idiot" and "andhbhakt" as unparliamentary.
