Sehwag and Dravid’s Sons Earn India U-19 Australia Call-Ups
India has chosen a young cricket team to play Australia’s under-19 team.
The teams will play three one-day matches and two longer multi-day matches.
The one-day games will be held in Rajkot next month.
Aaryavir Sehwag and Anvay Dravid are in the one-day squad.
Their fathers, Virender Sehwag and Rahul Dravid, were famous Indian cricketers.
Anvay has already scored 87 on a recent tour of Sri Lanka.
Aaryavir has also made big scores in youth cricket.
The two players will be compared with their fathers because of their family backgrounds.
However, they will not play in the two multi-day matches.
Aaryavir Sehwag and Anvay Dravid were named in India U-19’s 15-member squad for a three-match 50-over series against Australia U-19.
The one-day matches will be played in Rajkot next month, with the broader series scheduled for late September.
Neither Aaryavir nor Anvay was selected for the two multi-day fixtures.
Lakshya Raichandani will captain the one-day team, while Yashbardhan Chauhan will be his deputy.
Anvay scored 87 during India U-19’s July tour of Sri Lanka, while Aaryavir recently played for the West Delhi Lions.
