INSCO's ₹2,250 Crore Plan to Acquire Hindustan National Glass Approved
A company called INSCO has been approved to take over Hindustan National Glass (HNG), a glass bottle maker.
INSCO will pay ₹2,250 crore, including cash and equity, to take control.
This means INSCO will now run HNG and try to make it successful again.
The court approved this plan after another company, AGI Greenpac, had its bid rejected earlier because they didn't have the right approvals.
INSCO's plan includes money for immediate payments, investments, and upgrades to the factories.
The deal also got a thumbs up from the Competition Commission of India, allowing the acquisition to move forward.
NCLT approved INSCO's ₹2,250 crore resolution plan for Hindustan National Glass.
The plan includes ₹1,900 crore in upfront cash and equity valued at ₹350 crore.
INSCO will take charge of operations and begin the revival process.
CCI dismissed objections raised by AGI Greenpac regarding the acquisition.
The Supreme Court previously rejected a bid by AGI Greenpac due to lack of CCI approval.
