Harmanpreet Kaur Steps Down, Hopes to Reignite Batting

Harmanpreet Kaur is stepping down as captain of India’s women’s cricket team.

She led the team through several big tournaments and helped it win the 2025 World Cup.

The article says she helped the team believe it could compete at the highest level.

It also notes that her batting was not always as consistent as it had been.

In important matches, though, she produced strong innings, including against Australia in the 2025 semifinal.

Harmanpreet said she sometimes put her own goals aside to help the team.

Now she says she is ready to play for the love of the game.

The article hopes that without captaincy duties, she can focus more on batting that wins matches.
