Airbus Orders 6,000 A320 Fixes
Airbus, a big airplane company, found out that some of their A320 planes might have a problem.
A JetBlue plane flying from Cancun to Newark had a computer issue because of strong solar radiation.
This could make the plane's controls not work right.
Airbus says they need to fix the software in about 6,000 planes.
Most can be fixed quickly, but some older planes will need more time.
This might cause some delays for passengers.
Airlines in India and the US are also affected and need to update their planes.
Airbus is working to fix the problem as soon as possible.
Many airlines, like IndiGo, Air India, American Airlines, and Lufthansa, are facing delays and cancellations because of these fixes.
Some airlines, like Avianca, have even stopped selling tickets for a while.
The Indian aviation regulator, DGCA, has issued a directive to comply with the fixes, and no affected aircraft can fly until the fixes are done.
Airbus SE warns that about 6,000 A320 jets need a software fix due to a solar radiation incident.
A JetBlue A320 experienced a computer glitch on October 30, causing an unexpected downward pitch.
The incident involved a flight from Cancun to Newark, which diverted to Tampa.
Most jets can receive a quick software update, but about 1,000 older jets need a hardware upgrade.
Airbus acknowledges that the fixes will cause operational disruptions for passengers and customers.
