Ladakh Marathon to Host Over 6,600 Runners in 12th Edition
The Ladakh Marathon is a big running event in the Himalayas.
This year, over 6,600 people from all over the world will participate.
There are different races, including a very long and tough one over a high mountain pass.
Runners have to get used to the high air first.
The event also cares about the environment and tries not to make a mess.
The 12th Ladakh Marathon will feature over 6,600 runners from 30 countries.
The marathon includes six races, including the 122 km Silk Route Ultra and the 72 km Khardung La Challenge.
Participants will run through the Himalayas, including high-altitude passes and along the Indus River.
Runners must acclimatize to the high altitude before racing.
