Air India Approves Rs 18 Crore Payout for Outgoing CEO

Air India has approved a large payment for its departing chief executive, Campbell Wilson.

The total amount is about Rs 18 crore.

Around Rs 2.5 crore is a special reward for his work in FY25.

About Rs 15 crore replaces company shares he could have received under an earlier incentive plan.

Wilson became CEO in July 2022 after the Tata Group took control of Air India.

His original pay package was worth about Rs 21.5 crore each year.

Air India announced that he would leave on April 7, 2026, before his planned term ended.

The airline later chose Tewolde Gebremariam as its next CEO and managing director.
