Samba SSP Urges Village Guards to Strengthen Border Security
A police leader in Samba asked local village guards to help keep border areas safe.
He wants them to set up checkpoints and patrol with police officers.
These guards are civilian volunteers who assist security forces.
The police also asked residents to report drug dealing and other illegal activities.
The SSP said drugs can seriously harm young people.
He warned that people involved in trafficking, smuggling or other crimes could face strict action.
The meetings were meant to build trust between police and the public.
Officials said extra alertness is needed because the area has faced security problems in the past.
