Lunglei Family Donates Land for Mizoram State University
A family in Lunglei has given land to help build a new university.
The land covers 12 bighas.
P Lalnuntluanga gave the donation document to Chief Minister Lalduhoma on Friday.
The university is planned for Lunglei, after its proposed centre was moved from Aizawl.
The government says it needs buildings, roads, water, electricity and teachers before classes can begin.
It plans to start with some early work, such as opening an office.
The university will be developed in stages.
The chief minister asked people in Lunglei to help make it successful.
