Veterans' Grievances Cell Helps Ex-Servicemen for 25 Years
There is a special group of retired soldiers, sailors, and airmen who meet every Friday in a parking lot near a canteen in Mohali.
This group, led by a retired lieutenant colonel named SS Sohi, helps other retired military personnel, their widows, and family members with problems they can't solve through regular channels.
They have been doing this important work for almost 25 years.
The group includes retired officers, junior commissioned officers, and regular soldiers from the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
They listen to complaints and try to find solutions for those who need help.
The Ex-Servicemen Grievances Cell meets weekly in Mohali to address veterans' issues.
Led by Lt Col SS Sohi (retd), the group has been active for nearly 25 years.
The cell comprises retired officers, JCOs, and jawans from the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
They assist veterans, widows, and next of kin who have not found help through official channels.
The group operates from a makeshift open-air office in the car park opposite the Mohali CSD canteen.
