Netflix Cancels Multiple Shows, Including Shondaland Series
Netflix has decided to stop making four of its original shows after just one season each.
These include a show made by a well-known producer, Shonda Rhimes.
Despite some shows having lots of viewers, Netflix decided not to continue them.
We don't know the exact reason, but it could be because of the money it cost to make the shows, scheduling problems, or because there are many other streaming services competing for viewers.
One show was about a political family, another was a medical drama, the Shonda Rhimes show was a mystery, and the last was a gritty Western set in Australia.
None of the shows will have a second season.
Netflix canceled four original series after just one season.
The shows cancelled include The Waterfront, Pulse, The Residence, and Territory.
The Residence, a Shondaland production, was among the cancelled shows.
Viewership numbers were strong for some of the shows before being cancelled.
Budget issues and streaming competition may be factors in the cancellations.
