CPI MP Accuses Parties of Cash Payments in By-Polls

CPI leader K. Subbarayan accused the DMK, AIADMK and TVK of giving money to voters in two assembly by-elections.

These are allegations made by him, and the article does not include responses from the parties.

He said Left parties planned to contest against them to build a separate political choice in Tamil Nadu.

He said the Left had supported the TVK government to prevent the Assembly from being dissolved and Governor’s rule from being imposed.

But he said that support would not always be unconditional.

He also criticized the government’s economic policies and its approach to the BJP.

Subbarayan opposed privatizing power, education and healthcare services.

He said an upcoming AITUC meeting would discuss ways to protect workers, farmers and the public.
