SEBI Extends ETF Norms Implementation Timeline to September 7, 2026

SEBI Extends ETF Norms Implementation Timeline to September 7, 2026

SEBI is the regulator that sets rules for India’s markets.

It has rules for how exchange-traded funds, or ETFs, should be traded.

Some of these rules were supposed to begin on September 1, 2026.

SEBI moved the start date to September 7, 2026.

The rules cover starting prices, price limits, early trading auctions and what happens when trades cannot be completed.

SEBI said stock exchanges gave feedback about the change.

The extra week is meant to help everyone prepare properly.

The other rules in the earlier circular will not change.
