Ladakh Expands B-3 Helicopter Services for Connectivity
Ladakh has expanded its B-3 helicopter services to help people travel more easily and quickly, especially in remote areas.
The new routes and lower prices will make it easier for both locals and tourists to visit places like Kargil and Padum.
This is really important because Ladakh has tough terrain and harsh weather, making roads hard to use, especially in winter.
The helicopters will also help in medical emergencies by quickly moving patients and supplies.
The government is working hard to improve infrastructure in border areas, and these new helicopter services are part of that effort.
People can book these services online.
Additionally, 125 new infrastructure projects, including roads and bridges, were inaugurated to further support development in the region.
Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupta inaugurated expanded B-3 helicopter services to improve connectivity and support tourism and emergencies.
New routes include Leh–Kargil, Leh–Padum, Leh–Lingshad, Leh–Dibling, Leh–Nyerak, Leh–Diskit, and Leh–Turtuk with revised subsidised fares.
The services will facilitate faster travel, medical evacuations, and access to administrative services in remote areas, especially during winter.
The government aims to accelerate development in border regions through better connectivity and infrastructure, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision.
125 infrastructure projects, including 28 roads and 93 bridges, were inaugurated by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, highlighting the central government's commitment to Ladakh's progress.
