Police in Bengaluru are investigating a suspected fake-medicine business.

They arrested pharmacy owner Veeresh Kumar Jain.

Investigators say his pharmacy may have supplied counterfeit medicines to hospitals and clinics.

The medicines allegedly included cancer treatments and other important drugs.

Some of the products were ICU injections.

Police and drug officials searched Krupa Healthcare near Minerva Circle.

Investigators believe more than 90 hospitals and clinics may have received them at discounts of about 50%.
