Kuki Women Seek Justice as Naga Groups Report Fresh Attacks

Kuki Women Seek Justice as Naga Groups Report Fresh Attacks

A Kuki women’s group in Manipur is planning peaceful protests.

It says 27 Kuki community members, including two unborn children, were killed by Naga groups.

The group wants the government to provide justice.

A Naga women’s group has made a different complaint.

It says suspected Kuki militants are attacking Naga people and villages.

Its statement followed the killing of a 17-year-old boy named N.K. Wiphenbou.

The chief minister condemned that killing.

Both groups are asking the government to respond to violence affecting their communities.
