This was faster than Smriti Mandhana’s earlier 25-ball record.
Mandhana had made that record against Sri Lanka in 2022.

Shafali Verma has now recorded three half-centuries in fewer than 25 balls in Women’s T20I cricket.
Her other rapid fifties came against England in 2025 and Sri Lanka in 2025.
