CGHS Updates Photo Rules for Hospital Submissions
The government has changed the photo rules for people using the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS).
Now, if you have a referral for a hospital stay, you don't need to submit photos.
If you don't have a referral, you'll need to take photos when you're admitted and discharged, and every week if your stay is longer.
For those visiting the doctor without a referral, only certain groups need a photo, like people over 70.
There is a one-time break on previous daily photo uploads.
All photos must be geo-tagged and submitted within 24 hours.
Revised guidelines for geo-tagged photo submissions for CGHS beneficiaries.
IPD cases with e-referrals no longer require geo-tagged photos.
IPD non-referral cases need admission and discharge photos, plus photos every seven days if hospitalization exceeds that.
OPD cases with referrals don't require photos; those without require photos for specific groups.
A one-time waiver has been granted for the daily upload requirement for IPD cases.
