₹172 Crore PM Ekta Mall to Promote Andhra Pradesh Products
The government is building a special mall in Visakhapatnam called PM Ekta Mall to help sell products from different districts of Andhra Pradesh.
These products, known as One District and One Product (ODOP), include things like toys and sarees.
The mall will cost a lot of money and is expected to be finished in a couple of years.
The government is helping the people who make these products by providing training and building places to help them sell and improve their goods.
However, the government isn't giving extra money to help sell the products; that's up to the state government.
PM Ekta Mall is being built in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, to promote One District and One Product (ODOP) items.
The mall will cost ₹172 crore and cover five acres.
The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) approved the project, with completion expected by May 2026.
The mall will market 99 ODOP products from 26 districts of Andhra Pradesh, including items like Etikoppaka toys and Dharmavaram Sarees.
The Union government provides training programs and infrastructure support to boost ODOP product sales, but no direct financial assistance.
