Congress Questions Madhya Pradesh Debt During Amit Shah Visit
Jitu Patwari, a leader of the Congress party in Madhya Pradesh, criticized the state's BJP-led government.
He said the state has taken on a large amount of debt.
He also questioned whether the government should spend money on a new jet and helicopter while debt is rising.
Patwari cited figures from the Comptroller and Auditor General about debt and unsubmitted spending documents.
He asked the government to explain how borrowed money has been used.
He wants a public report, called a white paper, about the state's debt and spending.
He also asked Union Home Minister Amit Shah to raise these questions during his visit to Bhopal.
The article reports Patwari's claims and demands, not a response from the state government.
