92-Year-Old Farmer Receives Free Surgery Under Punjab's MMSBY
A 92-year-old man named Ram Rattan Singh from Ludhiana had a special surgery to remove a big stone from his bladder.
This surgery was free because of a new health plan called Mukh Mantri Sehat Bima Yojana (MMSBY) in Punjab.
The stone was very unusual because it was shaped like a flower and was quite large.
Ram Rattan used to have a different health card, but now it has been upgraded to this new plan, which gives more money for health care.
The doctors at Sukhveen Hospital in Jagraon helped him feel better.
92-year-old Ram Rattan Singh underwent free surgery for a rare bladder stone condition under Punjab's new MMSBY scheme.
The flower-shaped stone measured 85 mm and was removed at Sukhveen Hospital in Jagraon.
Singh's health coverage was upgraded from Ayushman Bharat–PM-JAY to MMSBY, offering Rs 10 lakh per family per year.
Dr. Divyanshu Gupta, administrator of Sukhveen Hospital, confirmed the successful surgery and coverage upgrade.
