The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, has announced that the government is taking steps to deal with the effects of El Niño, which is causing drought-like conditions.

The government plans to run awareness programs to educate farmers and the public about how to prepare.

Meanwhile, the CPI national secretary, K Ramakrishna, has met with the Chief Minister to ask for more help for farmers.

He pointed out that many areas have not received enough rain, and farmers are struggling.

Ramakrishna asked the government to support alternative crop cultivation and ensure that drinking water is available, especially in drought-affected regions.

The Chief Minister assured that the government is working to prevent water shortages and mitigate the impact of El Niño.
