Teachers’ Day Highlights Educators’ Evolving Role in Learning
Teachers’ Day is celebrated in India on September 5.
It honors Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a philosopher, scholar and former President of India.

Teachers do more than explain lessons.
They help students ask questions, solve problems and understand different ideas.
Technology can give students more learning resources, but teachers still guide and support them.
Teachers also adjust their methods for students with different needs and abilities.
Schools may celebrate the day with activities, programmes and discussions.
