Rain Damages Andhra Power Infrastructure Worth Rs 2.51 Crore
Heavy rain and strong winds damaged power equipment in parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Heavy rain and strong winds damaged electricity infrastructure across north coastal Andhra Pradesh, causing preliminary losses of Rs 251.33 lakh.
APEPDCL restored power to 1,238 of 1,468 affected villages and 8,30,679 of 8,87,757 disrupted connections.
By Thursday evening, 122 of 127 affected substations and 99 of 111 damaged 33 kV feeders had been restored.
Srikakulam suffered the most extensive damage, with outages affecting 962 villages and hundreds of feeders, poles and transformers.
Restoration continued in waterlogged areas, where stagnant water created safety risks around power infrastructure and agricultural fields.
