TTFI Suspends Kamlesh Mehta Over Governance Issues
The Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) has suspended its Secretary General, Kamlesh Mehta, because of some serious problems.
He did things like calling a meeting without proper approval and spending money in ways that weren't allowed.
The TTFI says this isn't about politics but about making sure everything is done fairly and correctly.
They have set up a committee to look into the issues and will give Mehta a chance to explain his side.
They have also told other important sports groups about this decision.
TTFI suspended Kamlesh Mehta for governance and financial irregularities.
Mehta unilaterally convened a Special General Meeting (SGM) despite an upcoming AGM.
Irregularities include unauthorized financial decisions and conflict of interest.
A three-member enquiry committee has been formed to investigate the issues.
Mehta has been declared persona non grata during the enquiry period.
