Archana Puran Singh Shocked by Asafoetida Price in Udaipur
Archana Puran Singh, a TV personality, visited Udaipur with her family.
They tried a popular local snack called kachori, which is a fried pastry with a tasty filling.
The special ingredient in the kachori they ate was something called asafoetida, or 'heeng' in Hindi.
When they found out how much this spice cost, they were very surprised!
The heeng they tried was already expensive, costing about Rs.
25,000 for a kilogram.
But then they learned that the very best kind of heeng could cost as much as Rs.
35,000 per kilogram.
Archana joked that instead of buying gold for a festival, they would buy this expensive spice.
It shows that some spices can be as precious as gold!
