Mayawati rules out Akash Anand, gives Ishan BSP role
Mayawati is the leader of the Bahujan Samaj Party, or BSP.
She said Akash Anand and his sister Deepika will not receive jobs or responsibilities in the party.
Akash is her nephew, and Deepika is her niece.
Mayawati said Akash’s behavior after his marriage caused him to be removed from the party again.
She also alleged that he is influenced by his father-in-law, Ashok Siddharth.
Instead, she plans to give Akash’s younger cousin Ishan Anand an important role.
Mayawati said Ishan could also be expelled if he seriously harms the party’s interests.
She announced the decisions in posts on X on Sunday.
