NATO Questions Russian Threat Claims as Allies Review Intelligence

Some European countries are worried about a possible foreign operation linked to a Russian threat.

Poland’s Tusk reportedly cited intelligence about this possibility.

Lithuania’s foreign minister said Lithuania had the same information.

However, he said the information was from July.

Two NATO diplomats said countries had not received a formal briefing about new intelligence.

They also said NATO had not changed how serious it thinks the threat is.

Switzerland has tightened security, and drones disrupted activity at Luxembourg Airport.

This means officials are taking precautions, but NATO has not officially raised its threat assessment.
