Shravan Festivities Cause Fruit, Flower Price Hikes in Vizag
During the holy month of Shravan, people in Vizag are buying more fruits and flowers for their religious rituals.
Because of this increased demand, the prices of these items have gone up.
Coconuts, bananas, and many types of flowers now cost more.
For example, big coconuts cost Rs 30, and a kilogram of Kanakambaram flowers costs Rs 600.
This price increase makes it a bit more expensive to buy items for the month's special events.
Fruit and flower prices in Vizag's Rythu Bazaars have increased due to rising demand during the Shravan month.
Coconut prices have increased, with big coconuts costing Rs 30, medium Rs 26, and small Rs 15.
Bananas are priced between Rs 60 and Rs 65 per dozen.
Flower prices have also increased, especially for varieties used in religious rituals and home decorations.
Kanakambaram flowers now sell for Rs 600 per kg, and jasmine flowers are priced at Rs 400 per kg.
