Srinivasan Nandagopal Begins 30,000-Kilometre India Ride for Childhood Cancer
Srinivasan Nandagopal is riding a motorcycle across India.
His journey is called Dreams on Wheels 2.0.
He plans to travel more than 30,000 kilometres in about one year.
He wants people to understand how difficult childhood cancer can be for children and their families.
He also wants to raise money to help with cancer treatment and related needs.
During the ride, he will meet students and discuss health, education and personal growth.
The journey began in Mangaluru and will visit many parts of the country.
Tapasya Foundation is helping with the childhood-cancer part of the project.
Former journalist and educational activist Srinivasan Nandagopal began Dreams on Wheels 2.0 from Mangaluru on September 26.
The solo expedition plans to cover more than 30,000 kilometres across over 30 Indian states and union territories within one year.
The ride aims to raise awareness and funds for children receiving cancer treatment through verified partner organisations.
Nandagopal will conduct student sessions on health, education, wellness, nutrition, reading, careers and personality development.
The expedition partners with Tapasya Foundation and builds on a previous 6,500-kilometre Karnataka ride that reached more than 5,000 government-school students.
