Punjab Launches 'Easy Jamabandi Portal' for Digitized Land Services
Imagine you need to check your land records or make changes.
Before, it was a long process, possibly involving bribes and waiting in line.
Now, Punjab has a new online system, like a website for land.
This website lets you do things like update ownership after buying or inheriting land, and get copies of your records easily.
Almost all land records are now online.
You can also get alerts if someone tries to change your records.
This new system should make things faster, easier, and fairer, making it easier for everyone to manage their land information.
Punjab launched the 'Easy Jamabandi Portal' for online land revenue services.
The portal offers services like online mutation, record updates, and digital access to land records.
Officials state 99% of villages' land records are digitized, with the rest expected in two months.
Online mutation will be completed within 30 days, updates via WhatsApp.
A subscription service will alert landowners of any record changes.
