APSDMA Issues Rain Alert for Andhra Pradesh Amid Cyclonic Circulation
A safety group in Andhra Pradesh, a state in India, told everyone that big rains are coming.
The rains are happening because of a spinning weather system over the Bay of Bengal.
Some places, like Konaseema and Tirupati, might get medium to very heavy rain.
Other places, like Krishna and Guntur, might get rain in just a few spots.
Low areas near the ground could fill up with water.
People who live there were told to stay inside unless they really need to go out.
Fishermen and farmers should listen to what the weather experts say.
The safety group also told local leaders to get ready and help people.
Everyone should stay careful until the rain passes.
Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) issued a rain alert on Wednesday due to cyclonic circulation in the West Central Bay of Bengal.
Konaseema, West Godavari, Nellore, East Godavari, Srikakulam and Tirupati are likely to get moderate to heavy rains.
Isolated rains are also expected in Krishna, Guntur, NTR and Prakasam districts.
The weather department warned that low-lying areas may get inundated amid the rains.
