Noida Airport Blends Culture and Technology
A new airport in Noida, called Noida International Airport (NIA), is almost ready to open.
It's designed to show off Indian culture and heritage.
The entrance is inspired by the steps of Varanasi and Haridwar, and the inside has a big courtyard like old Indian houses.
The roof looks like flowing rivers.
The airport will have cool technology like machines to drop your bags yourself and special gates to board the plane.
There will also be shops selling local crafts and nice things from Uttar Pradesh.
The airport is also eco-friendly, using solar power and saving rainwater.
The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh is making sure everything is done well.
Noida International Airport (NIA) is designed to reflect Indian culture and heritage, featuring elements like lattice screens, a haveli-style courtyard, and a river-inspired roof.
The airport will offer advanced technology such as self-bag-drop machines, biometric-based DigiYatra, and smart signage for a seamless travel experience.
Retail areas will showcase local handicrafts, Banarasi silk, chikankari, and attar, along with modern brands and exclusive souvenirs.
NIA is being developed as a green airport, utilizing solar power, rainwater harvesting, and EV charging stations to minimize environmental impact.
The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh is personally monitoring the progress and development of the airport.
