Marco Rubio Plans October India Visit Amid Quad Diplomacy

Marco Rubio is the United States secretary of state.

He is expected to visit India again in October.

The visit would come only a few months after he spent several days there in May.

During his May trip, he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and attended a meeting with other Quad foreign ministers.

The Quad includes India, the United States, Australia and Japan.

After visiting India, Rubio is expected to travel to Australia for another Quad meeting.

The countries are working together on defence, energy, technology, trade and security.

The US ambassador said the relationship between President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Modi is an important part of the partnership.
