Leopard Rescued After Entering Nashik House At Midnight
A leopard walked into a family’s house in Harangaon at midnight.
The family saw the animal and quickly left the house.
They closed and locked the door so the leopard could not escape.
Forest officials and a rescue team were called for help.
The teams worked through the night to safely remove the leopard.
They used a tranquiliser before rescuing it.
The operation finished at about 4 a.m.
The Forest Department is now taking further action.
A leopard entered a house in Harangaon, Peth taluka, around 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 1.
Subhash Raghunath Bharsat and his family escaped safely and locked the leopard inside the house.
Officials from the Mahaje Round, Nanashi Range, and the Nashik rescue team reached the site.
After a two-hour operation, the leopard was tranquilised and rescued around 4 a.m.
The Forest Department has initiated further proceedings following the incident.
