Beta Cinema Boards International Sales for Finnish WW2 Drama 'Lapland War'
Imagine a group of young Finnish friends during World War Two.
Finland was in a tricky spot, first fighting with Germany against the Soviet Union, and then making peace and having to fight Germany instead.
The movie 'Lapland War' is about these young people trying to grow up and figure out what to do as their country's alliances change.
Some soldiers have to fight their old friends, and a woman named Saara has to choose between a German officer she loves and her country.
The director says it's a story about young people dealing with big world changes, which feels relevant today.
The film is being shot in the beautiful, wild places of Lapland and will come out in 2026.
