FIRs Against 39 Advocates Over Forged LLB Marksheets in Prayagraj
Some people who became lawyers are accused of cheating.
They needed a law school report card to get their lawyer license.
Police say these lawyers used fake report cards.
The head of the lawyers' group in Uttar Pradesh told police about 105 lawyers.
Police have opened cases against 39 of them so far.
A court told police to check the lawyers' records.
One lawyer's report card was sent to his university for checking.
The university said the report card was not real.
Police will keep checking the other lawyers too.
Prayagraj police registered FIRs against 39 advocates over the past three days for allegedly obtaining enrolment and Certificates of Practice (COP) using forged LLB marksheets.
