Ex-Agniveers to Get 50% Reservation in CAPF
The Indian government has announced that ex-Agniveers, who are soldiers leaving the military after four years under the Agnipath scheme, will get special benefits if they want to join paramilitary forces like the CRPF or BSF.
Half of the job openings for constables and riflemen will be reserved for them.
They won't have to take a written test or physical exams, and they'll get extra years added to their age limit.
This is to help them find jobs after their military service.
The first group of Agniveers is still serving, so the policy hasn't been used yet.
The government says they might change the rules later if needed.
50% of Constable and Rifleman vacancies reserved for ex-Agniveers in CAPF.
Ex-Agniveers get a 3-year age relaxation, with an extra 2 years for the first batch.
No written exam, Physical Standards Test (PST), or Physical Efficiency Test (PET) required.
First batch of Agniveers not yet eligible as they are still in service.
Dedicated Ex-Agniveer wing established in the Ministry of Home Affairs to manage transitions.

The scheme does not guarantee long-term employment for most recruits, leaving many without job security.
Age and Test Relaxations
Supporters of Agnipath Scheme
The relaxations in age limits and test requirements are fair compensations for the service rendered by Agniveers.
