Slow Pitches Blamed for Sunrisers Hyderabad IPL Playoff Exit
The Sunrisers Hyderabad cricket team is out of the playoffs.
Their coach, Daniel Vettori, thinks the slow playing field at their home games is why.
This year, the field hasn't been as good for scoring runs.
The team has only won a few games.
The slow field has made it harder for the team's best hitters to score runs quickly, unlike last year.
A recent game was stopped by rain.
This contributed to the team's elimination.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) head coach Daniel Vettori cited slow home pitches as a factor in their elimination from the IPL 2025 playoff race.
SRH was eliminated from the playoff race after their home game against Delhi Capitals was washed out.
Hyderabad managed only three wins in 11 games this season.
Vettori noted the home surfaces were different this year, making it challenging for batters.
The slow pitches at home stifled SRH's top order, including Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head and Ishan Kishan.
