Telangana HC Orders Release of Revan Infra Property Documents
The Telangana High Court told a special court that works for the CBI to give back some important property papers.
These papers belong to a company called Revan Infra and were used as a guarantee for companies linked to a former politician.
The company wants its papers back and has offered to give a big amount of money, like ₹4.95 crore, as a different kind of promise.
However, the CBI believes these papers are part of a larger investigation into money problems and doesn't want them released yet.
The judge decided that since Revan Infra is not directly accused and the company is offering a strong financial promise, the papers can be released.
The judge also noted that the question of whether the properties are linked to illegal money is being handled in other cases.
Telangana High Court directed the CBI court to release property documents of Revan Infra.
Documents were submitted as collateral in 2012 for operating accounts of Jagati Publications and Indira Television.
CBI's request for a stay to appeal the decision was rejected.
Revan Infra offered a bank guarantee of ₹4.95 crore for the release of the documents.
CBI argued against the release, citing an ongoing investigation into alleged financial irregularities and money laundering.
