Virsa Singh Valtoha Seeks Reinstatement to Shiromani Akali Dal
Virsa Singh Valtoha, who used to be part of a political party called Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), was kicked out for 10 years.
He is now asking the Akal Takht, a high religious authority, to let him come back to SAD.
The Akal Takht is considering his request and might tell SAD to let him rejoin.
He says he did nothing wrong and wants to be back in the party.
He has written a letter asking for forgiveness and promising to follow all the rules if he is allowed back.
The Akal Takht had previously asked SAD to expel him.
Virsa Singh Valtoha resigned from Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) after being asked to be expelled for 10 years.
He has now approached Akal Takht to reconsider the expulsion.
The high priests may consider Valtoha's application.
Valtoha stated he resigned after the former jathedar of Akal Takht directed the party to expel him.
