Jobat CMO Promises Bridge Encroachment Removal After August 15

Many schools and other buildings, like a girls' hostel and a police station, are near the bridge.

The town's chief officer promised that all the shops will be removed after August 15.
She said safety will not be risked for anyone.
Temporary shops on the footpath of a bridge reconstructed last year for about Rs three crore in Jobat, Madhya Pradesh, have raised safety concerns.
The bridge is a key link between the city and surrounding rural areas and is used daily by schoolchildren.
Institutions located across the bridge include the Government Girls' Hostel, Gayatri Shaktipeeth, Anshul Vidya Mandir and Maa Parvati Memorial School.
CMO Priya Mehda assured that safety would not be compromised and that all temporary encroachments on the bridge would be removed after August 15.
Former BJP district president Rakesh Agarwal said he would speak to concerned officials to ensure the encroachments are removed.
