September 2026 Bank Holidays Include Up To 14 Closures

Banks will not open on some days in September 2026.

The Reserve Bank of India has published a holiday schedule for the month.

Some holidays apply across the country, while others apply only in particular states.

Festivals such as Janmashtami and Ganesh Chaturthi are among the listed reasons for closures.

A Jaipur municipal election is also included in the schedule.

All bank branches will be closed on the four Sundays in September.

The total number of holidays can be as high as 14, depending on where a branch is located.

Online and mobile banking services should continue even when physical branches are shut.
