Bihar Voter List Revision: Many Untraceable, Dead or Moved
Imagine the Election Commission is updating its list of voters in Bihar, like taking a headcount to see who's ready to vote.
They've found a lot of changes!
Sadly, they can't find 100,000 people.
Also, some people have passed away, about 20 lakh.
Even more have moved, roughly 28 lakh.
The Election Commission is missing forms from 15 lakh people.
Soon, they'll release a new list, and anyone can say if something seems wrong, like if a name shouldn't be there or if someone's missing.
One lakh voters are 'untraceable' in Bihar during the ongoing poll roll revision.
The Election Commission reported 20 lakh electors 'deceased' and 28 lakh shifted addresses.
Enumeration forms of 15 lakh electors haven't been returned to officials.
The draft electoral roll will be published on August 1.
Objections can be filed by September 1 regarding the inclusion or exclusion of names.
