Two Bank Agents Booked in Alleged Mumbai Flat Scam

Two Bank Agents Booked in Alleged Mumbai Flat Scam

Police in Mumbai have accused two bank agents of helping carry out a suspected property fraud.

The case involves a three-bedroom flat in Dombivli.

Seller Lionel Veloj wanted to sell the flat for ₹1.35 crore.

Rohit Nelson agreed to buy it and paid ₹1 lakh as token money.

Police say the two agents collected documents during the sale process.

They allegedly used forged papers to obtain a bank loan in Nelson’s name without permission.

They also allegedly opened a bank account in Veloj’s name without telling him.

Police say ₹98 lakh was transferred into that account.

The agents have been booked, but the allegations still need to be established through investigation and legal proceedings.
