Land Approval Advances Sarai Kale Khan Bus Terminal Revamp
Imagine a big bus station in Delhi getting a makeover!
The government gave the okay to use some land for this project.
This means the bus station can be rebuilt to be even better.
They want to connect the bus station with a new, fast train system called Rapid Rail.
This will make it easier for people to travel.
Also, they're going to build permanent shelters where homeless people can sleep.
Before they can move the night shelters, they need permission from the Supreme Court because they are currently residing on the land.
Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena granted a no-objection certificate for land allotment.
The land is for redeveloping the Sarai Kale Khan bus terminal.
The project aims to integrate the terminal with the Rapid Rail network.
The land parcel is owned by the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board.
Permanent night shelters for the homeless will be built during redevelopment.
