ED Raids 12 Locations Across Four States in Parimatch Probe

ED Raids 12 Locations Across Four States in Parimatch Probe

India’s Enforcement Directorate searched 12 places as part of an investigation into Parimatch, an online betting platform.

The agency says the platform may have used complicated payment networks to move betting money.

These networks allegedly included payment companies, bank accounts, retailers and money-transfer agents.

Investigators also suspect that some professionals helped move money overseas through possibly false transactions.

The ED says withdrawals were sometimes paid using deposits from other users, making the money trail harder to follow.

Earlier searches found cash, documents and digital devices, and some bank funds were frozen.

The agency also says Parimatch advertised through sports sponsorships and other promotional channels.

These are allegations under investigation, and the article does not report a response from Parimatch or the other parties mentioned.
