India and ILO Partner for Global Job Market
India is working with the ILO to help people find jobs worldwide.
They signed an agreement to use a system called IRCO to classify jobs.
This will help Indian youth find work globally by comparing job skills easily.
The goal is to make it easier for people to move between countries for work and fill skill gaps.
The G20 also supports this idea.
This will help in the future of work.
India and ILO signed an MoU to advance the International Reference Classification of Occupations (IRCO).
The agreement aims to help Indian youth access global job markets.
The IRCO classifies occupations by job functions and duties.
The initiative gains relevance amid rising global skill shortages.
The MoU signing took place in Geneva, Switzerland.
