Calcutta High Court Holds Bengal Constable Results Until September 30

The West Bengal Police are selecting people for nearly 12,000 constable jobs.

Some applicants disagreed with how the economically weaker section, or EWS, rules were being used.

They said the certificates should have a clear deadline and should not be accepted if obtained after applications closed.

The recruitment board said it followed the original job notice.

Interviews had already taken place in January and February.

The Calcutta High Court told the board not to publish the final results until September 30.

The board must also warn that later steps could change depending on the court’s decision.

The case will be heard again on September 11.
