Kharge Repeats Three Demands, Calls Jharkhand Stir Separate Issue
In India, important leaders meet in a big building called Parliament to run the country.
Lately, work in Parliament has stopped because one group is very upset.
Some students in a state called Jharkhand were protesting, and police used force on them.
More than 100 students got hurt, and some were badly injured by pellets from special guns.
Many students had to go to the hospital.
A leader named Mr. Kharge wants the government to talk about what happened.
He has three simple requests, like who gave the order to use force on the students.
He says it has been 18 days and the government still has not given a proper answer.
Mr. Kharge said the Jharkhand problem is a separate issue and they are not changing what they ask for.
He hopes a statement will be made soon so Parliament can go back to normal.
Kharge said "we are not changing our goalpost" and that his position has remained consistent from the very beginning, with three specific issues raised.
The first demand is a statement in the House on who issued the orders for the lathi-charge and firing on students, and how it happened.
The second demand concerns students who fell ill or were hospitalised, with over 100 suffering minor injuries and many wounded by pellet guns.
Kharge noted it has been 18 days and there is no willingness to provide a statement.
He described the Jharkhand stir as a "separate issue" while speaking to reporters at the Parliament House complex.
